A Fan Favorite Returns and a Bold New Beer from Down Under

BOULDER, Colo. (April 11, 2022) — Boulder-based Upslope Brewing Company introduces the next beer in their year long International Lager Series, German Style Pilsner, as well as new spring seasonal, Limited Release New Zealand Style IPA.

The International Lager Series, inspired by beer styles around the world, will be available throughout 2022 with a new and unique limited release beer being introduced every two months. Some of these styles are familiar re-releases, while others are being canned for the very first time.

  • Mexican Style Dark Lager: February-March
  • German Style Pilsner: April-May
  • Japanese Style Lager: June-July
  • Oktoberfest Festbier Lager: August-September
  • Italian Style Pilsner: October-November
  • Czech Style Dark Lager: December-January

The first style in the International Lager Series, Mexican Dark Lager, finished its run earlier in March and is being replaced by German Style Pilsner, a fan favorite over the years. This fresh and snappy brew has a crisp, floral aroma and a balanced hop profile from Loral and Tettnanger hops.

In addition to German Style Pilsner and the remainder of the International Lager Series, Upslope is excited to announce their latest Limited Release—New Zealand Style IPA.

Hop lovers can look forward to a beer that’s loaded with premium hop varieties from New Zealand to create a brew bursting with hop flavor and a crisp, dry finish.

“The story of New Zealand Style IPA starts with our former annual collaborations with Chris Black and the crew at Falling Rock Tap House. Each year we would brew a new pale ale for the Great American Beer Festival using a different blend of Southern Hemisphere hops, most of them being grown in New Zealand. I loved drinking that beer and wanted to keep the spirit of it alive with this slightly amped up version,” said Upslope’s Head Brewer Alex Meyer.

“Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, and Wakatu hops provide punchy hop aromas of white grape and tropical fruit backed by a lean, crisp malt profile that maintains the levity of the original recipe. This beer is definitely one of our most anticipated new releases and I think folks are really going to enjoy it. Cheers!”
