DESCRIPTION:Boogie on down to Lee Hill tonight for some live tunes by   Jeff Lambert! \n  \nAbout the Band: \nGuitarist and composer\, Jeff Lambert\, has performed extensively as a soloist and ensemble musician\, having appeared in over thirty states and Canada. As a soloist\, Jeff has been awarded top prizes in guitar competitions in both Minneapolis and Chicago. He has released three solo albums and enjoys working with composers to present new works. Each album showcases a new piece commissioned by Jeff\, including David Crittenden’s concerto for guitar and orchestra\, Haunted. As an ensemble musician\, he has shared the stage with a variety of world-class artists including Zeitgeist\, the Minnesota Contemporary Ensemble and members of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. In addition\, Jeff was a member of the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet (MGQ) for ten years. As a member of the MGQ\, he appeared as a soloist with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra\, Minnesota Orchestra\, Austin Symphony Orchestra\, Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and others. The group also appeared on National Public Radio\, Minnesota Public Radio\, Twin Cities Public Television\, WFMT – Chicago\, and Wisconsin Public Radio.

Scupanon is guitarist Rob Roper singing his original songs\, accompanied by Paul Ermisch on violin. At times Scupanon has also included upright bass players and percussionists. Roper and Ermisch have been playing together on the Colorado Front Range since 2010. \nRob Roper has recorded four solo CDs. Jon Solomon of the Westword\, reviewing Roper’s 2011 LP “Misfit\,” describes him as “…a guy with some sharp songwriting skills and a knack for penning witty lyrics.” \nTim Wenger of the Colorado Music Buzz said of his 2012 EP\, “The Other Side of Nowhere” (in which Ermisch was featured)\, “His music sounds like what you would hear in a small high-country café\, there are touches of country as well as some faster paced rock riffs that stand out at just the right times.”

Some people like to rock\, we prefer the roll.” \n“The Anthony Russo Band’s vintage sound is a highly flammable mixture of west coast jump/swing\, rockabilly\, rhythm & blues and rock’n’roll.” \n“It’s a lifestyle! A deep affection and appreciation of American roots music\, culture\, and style. The music we play and the songs we write are the way we live every day.” \nSouthside Denver native Anthony Russo is a first generation\, self taught musician. He started playing guitar at the age of 8. After seeing his church band perform\, he instantly recognized what he wanted to do with his life. “The way the music was able to move people and affect them in such a positive way\, I knew it was for me.” \n\nThrough middle and high school Anthony formed many basement and garage bands\, playing parties any chance he could get. “I remember we were at a party and saw a couple guitars laying around\, we just picked them up and started jamming. All of a sudden we look up and everyone at party was gathered around listening\, I knew I was on the right track.” \nAfter high school Anthony was waiting tables and working in a call center for a few years\, just trying to get by. “One day I just couldn’t take it anymore\, sitting in a cubical all day everyday\, I knew I had to get out.” Anthony quit his job and decided to pursue his passion for music. Soon after he attended a local open mic and was hired on the spot as the lead guitar player for the house band. After playing with the house band for a year\, Anthony decided it was time to form and front his own band in 2013. \nThe Anthony Russo Band has played all over Colorado for the past few years\, making a name for themselves and gaining widespread attention as one of the finest acts around\, with their killer musicianship\, raw style and exciting energetic live performances.
