Yucca Cordage: Making Primitive Rope with Fire Heart Adventures (Flatiron Park)

Have you ever been caught in the wilderness wishing you had rope or a needle and thread? The Yucca plant can be used to create these items and more. Making cordage is one of the fundamental practices of a primitive skills or survival skills practitioner. Knowledge is your greatest tool.

Join Upslope and David Michael Scott of  Fire Heart Adventures for an evening of  survival skills and $4 core beers!

Learn to:

-Identify the Yucca plant

-Harvest and prepare the Yucca to make cordage

-Two ply reverse wrap cording technique

-Making a needle and thread

You will need:

-A sense of adventure

-Thirst for great beer

-Optional: stone or pendant to hang from cord
