DESCRIPTION:Annnnd we’re back… to the backcountry! \nJoin us for the long-awaited 7th annual Backcountry Tap Room\, our hike to a pop-up tap room experience for brews and views\, on Saturday\, October 1\, 2022 at Winter Park Resort! Get ready to enjoy some good beers in the great outdoors… but you’ll have to earn ’em!\nWe’re teaming up with our friends at Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics again this year – 100% of the profits will go directly to Leave No Trace to support their continued efforts in protecting the outdoors.\nThis year’s Backcountry Tap Room will serve as the release location for a brand new\, limited edition can available exclusively at the event. Join us for a family-friendly\, day hike to soak up some brews and views!\n—-\n\n↠ WHEN // Saturday\, October 1st (9:30 am – 5 pm)\nBar hours: 11:00 am – 4:30 pm\nCheck-in opens at 9:30 am\nLast call at 4:30 pm. Event ends at 5:00 pm.\n—–\n\n↠ WHERE // Winter Park Resort – by way of marked trails. You’ll take the scenic Gondola to the top and hike* ~2 miles to the tap room. Your ticket includes the gondola ride.\n*NOTE: There is also an option to bypass the gondola on the way up\, should you wish – hikers will take the Ute Trail from the base before meeting back up with the Backcountry Tap Room event trail. This moderately challenging trail adds 3.8 miles to the experience with 1\,558 ft of elevation gain (expect an average of 1hr 30 minutes hiking before meeting up with the ~2 mile trail to the top). Total hike if you skip the gondola ride = ~5.8 miles. The Ute Trail will be closed on the way down; all attendees are asked to take the gondola on their ride down.\n*STROLLERS: This year’s Backcountry Tap Room trail is located at 11\,200 feet of elevation. The trail leading to the Tap Room is truly a backcountry trail that has tree roots and rocks which will make it difficult to push a stroller through. We do not recommend strollers for this trail.\n—-\n\n↠ TICKETS // $25 + fees (event profits benefit Leave No Trace)\n*Non-drinkers and children accompanied by legal guardian are free.\nAll 21+ attendees (with valid ID) will receive four (4) drink tickets – good for one (1) specialty\, limited edition brew (12 oz can of 5% abv Palisade Peach Pale Ale\, our collaboration brew with Colorado Parks & Wildlife) and up to three (3) more cans of our 12 oz year-round styles of beer and/or Spiked Snowmelt\, our craft hard seltzer.\n—-\n\n↠ FOOD // Pre-order your lunch and pick it up at the top!\nBackcountry BBQ Meal = $17.50 + fees: Sandwich + coleslaw and chips (2 options)\nBackcountry BBQ Meal — Non-Vegan. Your choice of smoked pulled pork\, pulled chicken\, or a Mary Jane Ale Beer Bratwurst. Side of coleslaw and home-fried chips.\nBackcountry BBQ Meal (Vegan / Gluten Free) — Beyond Brat with pickled onions. Side of coleslaw and home-fried chips.\n———\nWinter Park Lodging Special!\nAll guests who wish to stay at Winter Park Resort after the event can save up to 25% off their stay.
