DESCRIPTION:Help us ring in 11 years of great beers (& people!) with a kick-off party and group art show featuring local artists and Upslope regulars! \nJoin us for a night filled with displays of local art\, live music\, a food truck\, AND be the first to try our 11th Anniversary Ale – Brandy Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout! \n  \n  \nABOUT THE ARTISTS // With mediums ranging from Water color\, acrylic\, oil\, mix media medium\, screen prints and photography you won’t want to miss. \n  \n  \nTHE ARTISTS // \nAndrea Arguello Coello –   I am an acrylic painter and permaculturist from Nicaragua. My painting style ranges within the spectrum of expressionism. My artistic explorations expand with the freshness of each sensation.   \n \nAndy Ulanoff –   Andy Ulanoff is from NYC and makes comics and does art like this. All of it is probably confusing till you decide it’s ok to not know exactly my intention. Instagram- yaplaws \n \n  \nAnn Cantelow – I try to take pictures that seem to have a voice\, that have something to   say. I like the slow pace of exploring landscape forms. \n \nChrissie Stockwell –   Using watercolors to create two dimensional art of an animal I love to catch.  \n \nChristian Miller –   These photographs convey the way I see the world I inhabit\, and they are an attempt to allow the viewer to look through the lens with me. This facilitates the conveyance of creating a unique sense of place within the familiar and every day. I follow the light and then see what falls into the frame. \n \nEmily Kryska –   My artwork is about our relationship to nature. It is meant as a reminder that we share this world with all sorts of wonderful creatures. Subject matter ranges between animal and human\, with a bit of myth thrown in from time to time. \n \n \nMarin Klinger –   I am an artist living in Longmont Colorado. My work involves custom portraits and illustrations. I play with watercolors\, gouache\, and ink and love when the art I create brings out a smile in the person viewing it. \n \nTom Miller –   Throughout my life from early childhood through my professional career I have always been drawing and painting. I have always loved “… taking a line for a walk” (Paul Klee)\, and putting colors on canvas. When I retired in the fall of 2015 I decided to learn the art of screen printing. Screen printing is a perfect medium to combine line\, color\, and make multiples of an image.     \n \n  \n  \n  \nWalker St. Germain –   I got into art two-years ago with my art teacher Ms. Smith. I enjoy using paint and Sharpie Makers. \n \nWynia Clute –   For me\, painting is an accidental tumble into a rabbit hole where time stops\, mass becomes angled lines and distance merely fading color.   Like cloud watching and summer day dreams\, painting is fascinating. On the other hand\, it is like brewing: mixing up ingredients and colors to see if the results are tasty. \n  \n  \n  \nPeter Mackie –   I have always been fascinated by the light and textures revealed by black and white photographs \n \n  \n  \n \n  \n  \nTHE FOOD TRUCK // Better Off Fed \n  \nABOUT THE BEER // 17.1% abv\nEnigmatic and alluring\, this jet black behemoth pours like motor oil and emanates aromas of cognac\, rich chocolate\, pipe tobacco and Madagascar vanilla. DESCRIPTION:Boogie on down to Lee Hill tonight for some live tunes by  Zoe Berman! \n  \nAbout the Band: \nZoe Berman is a singer-songwriter currently based in Fort Collins\, Colorado. She plays a mix of soulful jazz/blues and indie folk music. \n\nZoe grew up in Simsbury\, Connecticut. She started taking piano lessons as a young child and picked up the guitar as a teenager. She first began writing original music at the age of 12 and moved on to performing in various venues as a high school student. She has enjoyed sharing her music with fellow community members ever since\, playing at a wide variety of venues and events and seizing numerous opportunities to collaborate with other likeminded musicians. \n\nGrowing up\, Zoe was heavily influenced by songwriters such as Billy Joel\, James Taylor\, and Carole King. Her vocals and performance style are often likened to that of Norah Jones\, Amy Winehouse\, and Rachael Price of Lake Street Dive\, her lyricism to that of Joni Mitchell and Sara Bareilles. \n\nZoe describes her approach to songwriting as a cathartic release of personal experience mixed with a linguistic puzzle\, enabling her to craft tongue-twisting poetry\, both lyrically and in her often spontaneous improvisations on the piano. Her music has been described as “bluesy\, jazzy and sultry” with songs that are “stretching and dancing from note to note\, octave to octave\, like a thread being drawn by a musical\, vocal needle.” \n​ \nZoe is now based in Fort Collins\, Colorado. She performs regularly\, accompanying her vocals on piano and guitar\, and often playing a suitcase drum with her feet simultaneously. Some typical performance settings include house concerts\, festivals\, and other listening-room settings\, as well as various breweries\, distilleries\, wineries\, restaurants\, and ski resorts.

DESCRIPTION:Boogie on down to Lee Hill tonight for some live tunes by  Shawn Cunnane! \n  \nAbout the Band: \nAs a solo performer and songwriter Shawn Cunnane’s diverse style ranges from Travis picking ballads with jazzy overtones to bluegrassy foot stompers. The unique textures he creates in his originals and interpretations are intimate and alluring. Shawn’s songs have been recorded and performed by many artists including David Grisman\, Heather Lomax\, and Matt Doherty. Cunnane recently landed in Boulder County\, Colorado in the spring of 2018 where he has begun work on his first solo recording of original compositions. \nEarly in his music career Cunnane completed a Jazz performance degree from Temple University in Philadelphia where he studied arranging with Grammy award winning pianist Bill Cunliffe. He then relocated to Los Angeles where he worked as a musician\, instructor\, and recording artist for 14 years. Cunnane taught for National Music Workshop in four different cities and has over 18 years of teaching experience with all ages and skill levels including group ensembles. He has recorded for Disney and Ubisoft as well as countless private clients. \nHis last project in California\, Sheldon & Cunnane\,  performed close to 1000 times in 4 years.  The duo was easily  found entertaining weekly in wineries\, restaurants\, and music venues throughout Ventura\, Los Angeles\, and Orange counties in addition to yearly trips to the Eastern Sierras and the Gulf Coast of Florida. An avid member of the Grateful Dead community in Southern California\, Shawn performed with Cubensis on over 20 occasions in place of Nate Lapointe (Bobby Womack). \nShawn has quickly become a Front Range Colorado staple and performs on a weekly basis. A member of the Longmont arts community and music instructor in multiple local establishments\, Cunnane has quickly carved out a space for himself in Boulder County. He performs countless solo shows as well as duets with local artists John McKay and Andrew Lunsfjord.  Shawn’s Grateful Dead act\, Crick Wooder\, is also becoming a favorite in the Front Range. Stayed tuned for a release of original recordings in the coming months.

DESCRIPTION:Boogie on down to Lee Hill tonight for some live tunes by  Beni Brosh! \n  \nAbout the Band: \nBeni Brosh is an Americana Singer-Songwriter based out of Fort Collins\, Colorado. His songs are honest and heartfelt\, cleverly crafted and musically rich. Utilizing his guitar case as a kick drum\, Beni’s one-man-band set up showcases his original songs based in rock and roll\, folk\, blues\, and outlaw country music. His influences range from Neil Young and The Rolling Stones to John Prine\, Willie Nelson and Townes Van Zandt to more modern folk/Americana music like Brandi Carlile\, Jason Isbell\, Sturgill Simpson and The Lumineers. Beni captures audiences with his salt of the earth performances that are sure to make you laugh\, cry\, and contemplate this crazy world we live in. \nAfter 5 years of touring with the folk rock trio The Coteries\, Beni decided to part ways with the band to pursue a solo career at the end of 2017. The band performed at venues and festivals in 46 states\, and shared stages with musical acts such as Whippoorwill\, A.J. Fullerton\, WoodBelly\, Sierra Hull\, The Ghost of Paul Revere\, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes\, The Black Lillies\, The War and Treaty and many more. He now calls the Front Range of Northern Colorado his home and currently is working to grow his following on the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. His debut EP\, “Hole Hearted”\, was released in May 2019 and is now available on all streaming platforms!
