DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Lee Hill Tap Room for this month’s Pints for the People! \n$1 of every pint sold today will be donated to a non-profit organization that Upslope employees believe in! \nMarch’s Organization:   Save Sarajevo \nAbout  Save Sarajevo: \nSaveSarajevo is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide basic necessities to Sarajevans struggling under post-war conditions. Founded by   Nevzeta Pitic\, the organization aims to: \n  \n\nRaise awareness of the extreme poverty left in the wake of the Siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War\nUtilize the Boulder Mountain Repair facility for fixing unused jackets\nDeliver unused and repaired outdoor clothing to those in need\nRaise money to further help families who need basic necessities like food\, shelter and warm clothes\n\n  \nWe accept cash donations as well as clothing. Consider donating your used outdoor clothing in good condition\, or in need of repair.   In partnership with Boulder Mountain Repair\, SaveSarajevo will be equipped with repair facilities to handle things like zipper malfunctions\, tears or holes\, or velcro issues. Your donated jackets will be washed and repaired as necessary\, then shipped to our facility in Sarajevo BiH to be distributed to citizens our organization has discovered are in need. Cash donations are an enormous help with our overhead!  We have basic operating costs such as our rent of retail space in Sarajevo\, employee wages\, shipping cost\, repair and washing cost\, to name a few things.

DESCRIPTION:Boogie on down to Lee Hill tonight for some live tunes by   John Mieras! \n  \nAbout the band: \nJohn Mieras is an independent singer-songwriter from Colorado. He moved to Boulder and completed a masters degree in choral music following a degree in music education. His formal training was augmented early on by picking bluegrass fiddle tunes with his beloved grandpa\, Papa who always said\, “I taught Johnny 3 chords and he took it from there.” John was on to writing his own songs that very day. \nJohn was always interested in songwriting and patterned his early music after his heroes\, Lennon & McCartney. His current favorite influences include new stars of alt and indie folk\, Justin Vernon of Bon Iver\, Gregory Alan Isakov\, Anais Mitchell\, and Storyhill. \nJohn is most recently a finalist in the Great American Song Contest\, singer-songwriter category with his song\, “Yesterday (I Wish There Was a Way)”. \nJohn finds inspiration in his family\, students\, songwriting friends\, and the mysterious beauty of music.
