DESCRIPTION:Join us tonight for live music brought to you by Jeff Lambert! \n \nAbout the band: \nGuitarist and composer\, Jeff Lambert\, has performed extensively as a soloist and ensemble musician\, having appeared in over thirty states and Canada. As a soloist\, Jeff has been awarded top prizes in guitar competitions in both Minneapolis and Chicago. He has released three solo albums and enjoys working with composers to present new works. Each album showcases a new piece commissioned by Jeff\, including David Crittenden’s concerto for guitar and orchestra\, Haunted. As an ensemble musician\, he has shared the stage with a variety of world-class artists including Zeitgeist\, the Minnesota Contemporary Ensemble and members of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. In addition\, Jeff was a member of the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet (MGQ) for ten years. As a member of the MGQ\, he appeared as a soloist with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra\, Minnesota Orchestra\, Austin Symphony Orchestra\, Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and others. The group also appeared on National Public Radio\, Minnesota Public Radio\, Twin Cities Public Television\, WFMT – Chicago\, and Wisconsin Public Radio. \nAs a composer he has written for a wide variety of instrumentations ranging from full orchestra to drum set to unaccompanied clarinet. He has been commissioned to compose for Zeitgeist\, the Ironwood Trio (clarinet trio) and the Saint Paul Guitar Trio\, and he has received multiple commissions from MacPhail Center for Music. A full album of his works is currently in production. \nJeff holds Master of Music and Doctor of Music degrees from Northwestern University. He teaches at MacPhail Center for Music in downtown Minneapolis where he enjoys working with students in a variety of styles including rock and roll where he can revisit his roots as a musician on a weekly basis.

DESCRIPTION:Come check out the soulful tunes of Kenny Lee Young at Lee Hill this Friday! \n \nArtist Bio: \nKenny was born in Bellevue\, WA\, but was raised in Midland and Sanford\, MI. He began singing in choirs at a very young age up through high school. During this time\, Kenny was the lead singer in a garage band group called “Rook” which focused on alternative rock.\nIt wasn’t until going to college at Central Michigan University where he picked up the guitar as a freshman. He began winning talent shows and playing in local coffee shops and bars throughout the next few years\, and at the age of 22 was when he released his first album “All Sides of the Spectrum”.\nNot long after the release\, Kenny moved to Denver\, CO. His solo career really took a leap forward where he made his mark by opening up for Common at CSU and Brad Corrigan from Dispatch at DU. He also released and EP in 2007 called “No Time to Waste” as well as three live albums. He has also been the front man for projects like “Left Hand Cheater”\, “MyFiend Tom”\,”Pearls for Breakfast”\, and “Natural Geometry” while maintaining his solo career.\nCurrently you can see Kenny Lee Young playing at many venues\, breweries\, restaurants\, coffee shops\, festivals\, benefits\, and weddings inside and out of Colorado. He also released his new EP “The Learning Curve” in April of 2014 and in 2015 became sponsored by Teton Guitars

He began songwriting during his teenage years while performing at smoky bars and coffee shops in downtown Santa Fe. While primarily influenced by blues greats such as Lightning Hopkins and Buddy Guy Alex maintained a love for all musical genres from classical to grunge. \nIn his early twenties Alex gained notoriety by performing at festival favorites such as the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival and the King Biscuit Blues Festival.

On her debut EP release “Nothing Normal” she collaborated with the likes of Lisa Harriton (Smashing Pumpkins)\, Jason Ganberg\, Gayle Day\, Ido Sasson\, and Alex Balderston Saunders has received critical acclaim for her work being noted as a musician whose artistry and poise as a songwriter\, guitarist\, and vocalist demands to be both seen and heard. \nThe instrumental release “Miles Before Sleep” was released November 4\, 2014 . Vastly different from her indie pop debut in 2012\, her talents shine as a composer in her own right.
