From love songs to train songs\, Keith’s lyrics conjure stories of people\, places\, and situations that feel both familiar and yet somehow fresh. His instrumental styling’s cover the landscape from finger picked ballads to raucous twelve bar blues. \nKeith is a singer-songwriter based in Longview\, Texas. He travels throughout the United States and just finished recording his second project for national release “Life’s an Open Road”. Keith is a veteran of over 40 years in the music business.

DESCRIPTION:Boogie on down to Lee Hill tonight for some live tunes by Strangebyrds   and tasty beer by Upslope! \nAbout the Band:\nStrangebyrds\, Cari Minor & Ray Smith\, have a synergy built on well honed harmonies and spot on guitar playing. They perform songs that are insightful\, thought provoking and relevant to our times. Their self-titled release\, Strangebyrds was chosen as a top ten local release in 2011 by the Marquee Magazine (Boulder/Denver). Their new release Migration (May 2013) earned a 4 out of 5 star rating from the Marquee\, an Honorable Mention at the 2013 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Troubadour Contest (Ray-Fall Mountains)\, and a top ten finalist at the 2013 Rocky Mountain Folks Festival New Folks Competition (Cari- Black Sunday)\n \nThey refer to their style as “Blue Collar Folk” and it’s a fitting description for Strangebyrds and their latest release Migration. Their sound has more of an edge than much of the Indie-Folk coming out of Denver these days but that is why their description as Blue Collar Folk works so well.\n“You can sing along with these songs\, tracks like Blood On The Moon ” and “Smile Before The Lie” are quick tempo harder-strumming numbers\, while the instrumental “Drama King” and the light sing-songy “Raven” show softer but still strong sides. It’s kind of like the denim and the flannel of blue collar life. One is hard\, one is soft\, but both are comfortable to wrap yourself in”
