Japanese Style Rice Lager and West Coast Style IPA among Upslope’s 2023 year-round, core lineup among other favorites and new series

BOULDER, Colo. (January 3, 2022) — Boulder-based Upslope Brewing Company is excited to reveal their 2023 beer release calendar. Old favorites and new styles round out the core lineup, while four simultaneous series mean more limited release styles to love throughout the year.

Consumers will be excited to see that alongside long-time favorites such as Craft Lager, Citra Pale Ale, India Pale Ale and Mary Jane Ale, Japanese Style Rice Lager and West Coast Style IPA will be joining Upslope’s 2023 year-round lineup.

The delicate and effervescent Japanese Style Rice Lager ruled the summer of 2022 in Upslope’s two Boulder tap rooms and delivered a light and ultra-drinkable style that the greater market craved. Flaked rice adds a pleasant toasty note and lightens the body to yield an extremely crisp and refreshing lager. With a snappy hop character and bone dry finish, Japanese Style Rice Lager pairs well with a wide variety of food and is the perfect style to cap off any activity or adventure.

West Coast Style IPA, Upslope’s take on the classic style, was exceptionally popular when it was released for the first time in spring 2022 as part of their Limited Release seasonal series. This hoppy style proudly joined their core beer lineup in 12-ounce six-packs and on draft starting October 2022 and will continue to grace the year-round roster in 2023.

Weighing in at 6.5% ABV, Upslope’s West Coast Style IPA delivers citrus and pine flavors that dance with a bright tropical fruit character while finishing dry with firm bitterness.

Along with new year-round additions, Upslope is proud to introduce a couple new series in the new year: the ongoing International Lager and Limited Release Series, plus a new IPA and Fruited Sour Series. These series will consist of multiple rotating limited release styles throughout 2023. Fans can look forward to the reappearance of seasonal favorites such as Oktoberfest, Spruce Tip IPA and Blackberry Lemon Sour.

Upslope’s core lineup styles and limited release styles will be available on draft and in 12-ounce six packs at Upslope’s two Boulder tap rooms and across Upslope’s distribution region of the Rocky Mountains, Midwest, and southern United States.
