Upslope’s Lee Hill Run Club (Lee Hill)

Who’s ready to hit the North Boulder trails?!

Join us for the first run in our monthly running series that takes off from our Lee Hill brewery put on by Upslope-sponsored ultrarunner Gina Lucrezi.

The run will be an 8-10K loop (~1-1:30), but feel free to make it a bit shorter if need be. Runners of all levels welcome!

WHEN // Tuesday, July 21st at 6:00 pm

WHERE // Meet at our Lee Hill tap room. The run will take off and end here.

Stick around and enjoy some post-run brews. One dollar from every beer sold on the day will be donated to Rocky Mountain Rescue. The event will recognize injured mountain runner, Dave Mackey.

Dave Mackey is a Boulder resident and trail running legend. He had an unfortunate accident on Bear Peak that caused him serious injuries resulting in a multitude of surgeries. Dave is on the mend and will hopefully be gracing the Boulder peaks with his footsteps sooner than later. Our Tuesday July 21st run is in honor of Dave #MackeyStrong and the kick butt crew at Rocky Mountain Rescue. For every beer sold, $1 dollar will be donated to the Rocky Mountain Rescue so that they can continue to come to our aid when the unexpected happens.
Come on out for a 5.5 mile mellow trail run, social time with friends, and of course amazing brews! It is Taco Tuesday so there will be some grub for purchase as well.
Thanks to our partners Flatirons Running Company and Competitor Magazine for helping to bring the trail running community together, and for their support in helping to grow and inspire the community of outdoor enthusiasts.
HOKA One One, Tailwind Nutrition, and Ultimate Direction will also be at this event, so expect to test some demos and samples, and of course, win some swag!

ABOUT GINA // I was introduced to the running world when my parents bribed me with $5 to run a mile around the development where we lived. By the time I was finished they owed me $10.

I ran cross country and track in high school, which continued through college. My college running career concluded with 10 NCAA D3 All-American recognitions, one being a NCAA D3 Champion in the Indoor 1500.

After college, I moved to Colorado Springs to work with the United States Olympic Training Committee. I met Nancy Hobbs, President of ATRA (American Trail Running Association)…who had hooked me on trail running after a few excursions on Pike’s Peak.

I knew I was meant to be in the mountains because of how natural it felt, and how one hour felt like 5 minutes. I could spend all day playing up high in the trees, entertaining myself with the flora and fauna while being serenaded by the birds and the wind.

Before I could realize what was happening, I signed up for my first trail race. My competitive spirit was sure to transfer from road to trail…whether I planned on it or not.

I’ve been trail racing since 2007, and don’t see that subsiding anytime soon. Thanks to all the support I’ve received from my family, friends, and sponsors, I’m able to keep on living my dream.

I currently live in Boulder, Co and work for iRunFar.com as their Business Development Manager, as well as the Events and Athlete Wrangler at Julbo USA. When I’m not at the computer…well, I guess you can guess where you can find me!
