Artist Bio:

Musician and Educator Eric Wiggs has been performing and teaching for over a decade. He holds a B.M in Jazz Studies/Music Media from the University of Alabama and a M.M. Jazz Performance/Pedagogy from CU-Boulder.

He began on the trumpet at age 10 but by age 14 had taken up interest in the guitar. The music of bands such as Pearl Jam and Nirvana led him to classic rock and eventually to the blues. By age 18, Eric knew he wanted to make music his career and enrolled as a music major in a local college. After transferring to the University of Alabama as a Jazz major, Eric began his academic studies which culminated in a Master’s degree in Jazz from the University of Colorado in Boulder.

He currently performs or has performed with: Carmen Sandim Sextet feat. Ron Miles, Monocle, Cassie Taylor, The Fever, Ink Freethinker, Taarka, Jocelyn Medina, Danny Meyer, Polarity, Phil Robinson Quintet, The Spin, Lindsay and the Lost Caravan, Meryl Romer, George Nelson Band, Aakash Mittal Quartet, Patrick Wimberly (Chairlift) and many others!
